Hi! I am Stefanie, choreographer, dancer and a passionate dance educator.

My artistic vision is a choreography in which connectedness can be experienced: between performers, between body and voice, in a shared space.

Every perspective stays its own, and the space between them carries the connection.

I look for forms in which movement and storytelling meet.

For me, storytelling begins with perspective and voice: who sees, who speaks, who is seen, and how these positions can be shared between expressive bodies.

This also shapes my teaching: my creative lab workshops, e.g. (in)visible ties in space, investigate interconnectedness as the basis for choreographic scores.

Full biography (PDF)

I am an Austrian choreographer, dancer and dance educator based in Switzerland.

Trained at the Ballettschule der Wiener Staatsoper,I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Movement Studies & Performance (Dance Pedagogy) from the Bruckner University Linz.

I danced with theBallett der Wiener Staatsoper, and in ensembles in Győr, Linz and Nuremberg, from 2019 to 2025 at Theater Basel.

My choreographies were created at Staatstheater Nürnberg, Theater Basel and Kunstmuseum Basel;in 2026 I presented ROZE in Zurich.

Alongside my dance pieces,I choreograph for music theatre, and have also created choreographic work for drama productions.

For me, movement is a modethat appears in theatres, art spaces or outdoor places, each time under different conditions.

Form and content merge and interplay intimately in my work.

I hold a Master of Advanced Studies in Dance Science, which opens up a scientific perspective on working with students in the studio,

whether that be an understanding of motor learning processes, psychological aspects of learningor knowledge about the science of training students who are artists and also athletes.

My body’s history of ballet and contemporary dance paired with perspectives from cultural analysis meet in my work in an ongoing questioningof how movement vocabularies carry meaning and how that meaning can be read anew in practice.
