Schloss an der Loire

Choreographic collaboration on the world premiere of an absurdist play: a powerful politician keeps his wife confined in a château on the Loire; her staff are meant to tame her outbursts, yet are trapped themselves.

The production moves between commedia dell’arte and slapstick. With the acting ensemble, a physical language emerged in which the characters stumble, contort and bow. The madness of the house becomes bodily.
